This first course is aimed at special needs groups, children using the sand for transition, behavioural regulation, safe space/environment, meeting place to meet the child where they are at. This first course is directed towards meeting the child’s needs to allow them to self-regulate.

Sandtray Play Work is not therapeutic.

It is using the sand for self-regulation purposes which stimulates the child’s emotional release using the indoor sandtray and diverse tools. A tactile approach so that children can creatively express feelings release anti-anxiety chemicals in the brain and self-regulate.

*Course 1 is ideal in learning & support units, and in early childcare centres as a transition and emotional regulation tool.
